All I Got Was This Stupid Visor!

Unsheathed didn't think this one was worth the sword. But, since it made it all the way up the media flagpole, it has to be noted. "In other words, to everyone reading into the picture, you need to get a life," Sean Hannity told liberals who were making a big deal about Palin's sharpied out visor.
The "Great American" had unsheathed his sword and took a hearty slice at the petty liberals.

"Can't you take her at her word?" Senator John McCain said on Fox News Sunday today. "She's going to be a force in the Republican Party for a long time and the hysterical attacks on her from the left continue to validate that."

Seeeeee-lice, Senator!

Terminate The RINO

Arnold Schwartzenegger has proven to the people of Cally-fornia why they should have voted for Tom McClintock in the primary instead of him. Here is a governor who has overseen one of the biggest fiscal collapses in California's governmental history. He has people in the central valley starving for water because he's too much of a "girly man" to press the federal government hard enough or invoke the 10th Amendment strongly enough to stop the environmentalist nonsense that is costing the state and its people millions of dollars in farming revenue. He is the biggest RINO in the pack, a terminator who symbolizes that which must be terminated, Republicanism in name only.

The American people are tired of the two parties catering to their special interest groups, rather than doing the smart thing and tapping into the will of the people. Government governs with the consent of the governed. As Laura Ingraham said today at the Code Red protest in Washington, DC, "we don't consent."

So, we are to believe that people who have career aspirations or desire higher public office are not interested in the issue of climate change. Someone should have told that to Schwarzenegger when he was an actor considering a run at California's governorship.

According to CBS News:
As for Palin's comments on climate change – she wrote in a Washington Post op-ed suggesting that Americans should be skeptical of the overwhelming scientific consensus that global warming is real and man-made – the California governor had this to say: "You have to ask: what was she trying to accomplish? Is she really interested in this subject or is she interested in her career and in winning the [Republican presidential] nomination?"
Yes, Governor Schwarzenegger, Palin, like most hard working Americans in a capitalist system, is interested in her career. She is also interested in the subject. Her forte is energy. You have to question, though, if she is interested in winning the nomination or is she more interested in correcting the direction that this country is headed in and if she is interested in supporting candidates who oppose the likes of Governor Schwartzenegger.

I agree with Palin. Let's duke it out. Let Arnold be a poster child for the RINO movement, which most polls shows is about 1/3 of the GOP base and let Sarah Palin be a poster child for the grassroots and what real hard working Americans want, which most polls shows is about 2/3 of the GOP.

Bring it on, Arnold. But as for you and your fellow RINO's, you won't be back.

Rest in Peace Anchorage Daily News

correction: publication date for this post is Wednesday Dec 16, 2009

Many Palin supporters went to the Anchorage Daily News to get information about their favorite governor even though the paper was staffed by Palin Derangement Syndrome victims and touted a comment board that would make David Axelrod proud. The paper consistently deleted pro-Palin comments while claiming to be keeping the discourse honest. But any reader could tell this was a liberal astroturfer's heaven from the high number of anti-Palin comments, which matched the high number of profiles with no information, avatars or bios.

Tony Hopfinger, the editor at the paper, is married to Amanda Coyne, another victim of PDS. A blogger at Townhall.com puts it like this:
Coyne's politically-biased brand of journalism and unending drivel against Governor Palin mirrors the same level of credibility as OJ looking for the real killer. Coyne and her husband, Tony Hopfinger, are part of an unholy cabal that is trying to destroy Sarah Palin; tarnish her national image; and personally profit from it.
Now that they have successfully driven Governor Palin out of office, the ADN faces a "death panel" of readers who will now stop visiting ADN's revenue generating website. Although the website was unreasonably brutal on Palin, it was the only game in town for Palin supporters to get information about local events such as the Michael Reagan speech.

ADN continues to hammer the final nails into its coffin with drivel like this from it's new "conservative" columnist, Paul Jenkins:
Then came a nasty series of imbroglios involving Palin's administration. Troopergate. Subpoena problems. Tax difficulties. Hiding e-mails. Flouting public records laws. Hiring an obnoxious press secretary. Trotting out an equally obnoxious campaign attack dog. A legislative report concluding Palin had abused her office. A Personnel Board whitewash investigation. Spending months away on her campaign for the vice presidency. And on and on and on.
The decline in readership at ADN is proportional to the uptick of readership on Sarah Palin's Facebook page and other sites that now provide deeper and more balanced coverage.

Demonstrating that hatred will never create loyalty, the ADN chose to alienate all the new readers who came to it when they were the only source of Palin news. They are giving up vital website hits in favor of continuing to provide a forum for those who want to bash Palin and re-write her history by focusing on a bunch of negative stuff that has already been quite debunked on other sites and from other sources.

There are only a handful of people in Alaska who want to read negative crap about Sarah Palin. And they are the same ones who are producing it. The ADN doesn't need to take up paper and bandwidth spewing venom at Palin. Those who want to get a good dose of cancerous hate can easily go to the Huffington Post, Just a Girl From Homer, Mudflats, Blue Oasis and Immoral Minority.

Jenkins is just another example of how someone who is miserable about themselves (and their associations - e.g. Bill Allen, who pleaded guilty to bribery charges in the VECO scandal) has to turn that hatred outward onto the one person who acts a reverse mirror. Those who see goodness inside themselves, for some reason, gravitate to Palin and see her as representative of that goodness. Those who see misery inside themselves pour it all out against her when juxtaposed next to what she stands for.

Those who have been on the wrong side of corruption don't do very well in Sarah Palin's eyes and neither does she in theirs. The good ole boys don't like her because she exposed them for the "corruptocrats" that they were. Jenkins is a good ole boy.

Misery loves company, and if you can't bring yourself up, it's easier to bring others down. Palin brings out all the good in good people and all the bad in bad people. Jenkins is just one example of many that you will notice fill this bill as you encounter negative Palin press that is not factually based in the arena of ideas.

There are way more good people than bad people. It looks like ADN has chosen the smaller market to cater to.

Debunking the Latest Myths

From the lady on down the line, the army fights the smears.

Here's a re-cap of the latest "slayings" from the Palin front.

Let's start with Lady Palin herself who just field dresses former Vice President Al Gore: The Washington Post Op-ed and Response to Climate Change and Gravity

Michelle Malkin also gets in a sword stab after Al Gore responds to Sarah the Great's op-ed. Gore is gored! Hey, Al Gore: You lie! (Note the picture of him, he looks like Dr. Evil)

The Ordinary Barbarians at Conservatives4Palin just pillage and plunder as they sink a bunch of racism smears against their leader, Sarah the Great: The 'Palin = racist' smear

Lori Calabrese says Washington Post blasted for using Palin op-ed.

Aw, the wittle Paawin detwactors who used to say she's so irrelevant, unpopular and a lightweight are now complaining that WAPO is making a lot of money because SO MANY people are reading her Op Ed. Isn't that how the writing business is supposed to work? A popular writer gets the gig. I'm lost. What do the Palin detractors want WAPO to do, only allow space on their op-ed pages for people noone wants to read?

The Rapture Really is Here For the Left

The Rapture is here according to left wingers frozen in fear over the power of Palin. Or as one panicked left wing blog says "The End is Near: Palin Meets With Bachmann." Their fear is justified. Their ideology is slowly but surely being exposed for the moral and intellectually bankrupt philosophy that it really is.

As the ACORN scandal unravels, the czars like Van Jones are exposed and now the scandal of climategate hits its stride just in time for Copenhagen, it's becoming more and more difficult for the American people to understand the left. They want to pull ouf of Afghanistan, so they're putting in 30,000 more troops. They want to provide universal and more affordable health care, but the cost of their plan to taxpayers and consumers increases, not decreases and actually limits health care to some medicare recipients.

Contradictions abound in the liberal philosophy because that's what it is. It's a confusing set of contradictions designed to keep the people spinning emotionally but not logically. It's easier to lead a big government liberal movement from the top down than it is from the bottom up. That's called "community organizing." Liberals think they know a lot, but most of what they know isn't true. They follow their leaders blindly and believe that capitalism, patriotism and despotism are one and the same.

Sarah Palin exemplifies everything that is true about America. We are capable of being self sufficient. We can defend our nation from outside aggressors. Women can raise families, not have abortions and still become successful. We use fossil fuels to generate our energy, but are not ignorant enough to toss them aside until we know for sure we have a viable alternative. And we've been doing something that mankind has been doing since the beginning of time: we eat meat.

Those who chose to assume power by bucking the natural order of things eventually lose power (come back for a re-read after the 2010 elections). Those who don't fight those who fall for those who buck natural order eventually lose power, too (see 2006 & 2008 elections). Those who run with the wind at their back and a realistic vision ahead of them know that by becoming one with the natural order, they assume power, the kind of power our Founders envisioned, from the masses, not the assess.

Come back for a re-read on this after the 2012 elections.

The liberals continue to try to force the square peg into the round hole. In their minds, we're the "idiots" for thinking the round peg should go into the round hole. The sky will be forever green as long as liberals hold enough power to shame us, scare us and grease us into thinking it's not blue. And if a lady from Alaska comes along and gets everyone to realize that they've been lied to and the sky really is blue, then she must be destroyed!

In follow up to my blog post The Alaska Bloggers Are Having Mental Breakdowns Over Sarah Palin's Success, this blogger must point out that I sometimes call them names and ridicule them. But they may actually be onto something here. Their reaction to the TEA Party movement and Sarah Palin may in fact be completely understandable given how they are getting closer and closer to being exposed for rampant intellectual dishonesty.

They are trembling in fear. They are filled with angst. They are the Tiger Woods of ideological politics. Their secrets are coming out and it's blowing the whole thing wide open. They are panicking. They are as desperately trying to hide the lies of climate change, ACORN, radical czars and the Shadow Party movement as a whole as Tiger Woods is to prevent his affairs from becoming public.

The American people are about to hit the liberal movement with a golf club and its frantically trying to pull out of the driveway. Liberalism is heading toward the fire hydrant and the tree, and the Alaska bloggers know it.

The more they fight it, the more energy they lose. Their canoe has tipped and they are struggling to turn it back up against the flow of the river. The Alaska bloggers think that when Palin goes to her Facebook page to rebut lies, that she's wounded! They think their lies are truths and she is harmed by them! Yet, her legions of followers grows larger. It's called denial.

They feed the beast and then scramble to fight it as it becomes larger and larger. They've created their own monster, a manifestation of the inner hatred and turmoil they feel for America and their own unfulfilled lives.

As metaphors go, the Rapture really is here for the left. They are about to experience their own political "revelations."

Black Sabbath — Neon Knights lyrics

Oh no, here it comes again
Can't remember when we came so close to love before
Hold on, good things never last
Nothing's in the past, it always seems to come again
Again and again and again ooh again oh

Cry out to legions of the brave
Time again to save us from the jackals of the street
Ride out, protectors of the realm
Capatin's at the helm, sail across the sea of lights

Circles and rings, dragons and kings
Weaving a charm and a spell
Blessed by the night, holy and bright
Called by the toll of the bell

Bloodied angels fast descending
Moving on a never-bending light
Phantom figures free forever
Out of shadows, shining ever-bright

Neon Knights!
Neon Knights! all right!

Cry out to legions of the brave
Time again to save us from the jackals of the street
Ride out, protectors of the realm
Capatin's at the helm, sail across the sea of lights
Again and again, again and again and again

Neon Knights!
Neon Knights!
Neon knights!
All rise

The Alaska Bloggers Are Having Mental Breakdowns Over Sarah Palin's Success

There was a time when taking on the Alaska bloggers was serious business for Palin supporters. They were stoking the flames and involving themselves in the DNC's smear campaign against Sarah Palin during the 2008 presidential election. They worked with people in the local media who brought the Troopergate story out. They met secretly to tell videographers and reporters the "dirt" they had on Sarah Palin. After the election ended, they continued to drill Sarah Palin with lies and smears while they fueled and cheered on the campaign of frivolous ethics complaints. The game has changed now, and they are losing badly.

We all remember one Alaska blogger, Celtic Diva, as the lady who filed an ethics complaint against Sarah Palin for wearing an Arctic Cat jacket. We remember Just a Girl from Homer who nearly got sued for floating the rumor that Sarah Palin resigned because she was about to be indicted by the FBI. We remember Gryphen who spread the rumor that Palin was getting divorced. We remember AKMuckraker who had "an insider" in Auburn NY who took pictures of Palin's toenails.

Amazingly, the mainstream media, particularly MSNBC, was picking up on their writings and actually using them as sources or starting points for hit pieces on Sarah Palin. As Sarah Palin's support grows and polls now show anywhere from 67% to 83% of respondents agreeing that the media is negatively biased toward Sarah Palin, most of these bloggers and the mainstream media reporters who used them as sources are not being taken very seriously anymore.

The interesting trend being noticed is that the Alaska bloggers, who unsuccessfully used their trumped up views of Sarah Palin as an ethically challenged lightweight to marginalize her and destroy her popularity, have turned from being citizen reporters writing slanted stories into hysterical town criers who continue to smear with malicious intent as the "Palin threat" grows. They have a rendezvous with destiny in 2012 and they're frozen with fear that they can't stop it.

Let's look at the current "mental" condition of the Alaska bloggers.

Celtic Diva continues to cry foul because her FOIA request to get emails she believes will show that Sarah Palin and Eddie Burke engaged in a smear campaign against Andree McLeod, an ethics violation filer, is being held up by the Alaskan government. In essence, Diva spent $5,552.00 of other people's money to prove that Sarah Palin and Eddie Burke communicated about Andree McLeod in a negative way. Diva, who worked as the DNC's official blogger in charge of running a smear campaign against Sarah Palin is contending, well, that Palin and Burke are engaged in a smear campaign. It shouldn't cost $5,552.00 to find out that Palin and Burke don't like McLeod. Even if it was done on state time, communications between the governor and a member of the media mean nothing since those communications are about an ethics complaint, a state matter anyway, which is a media worthy story. This would be analogous to this blogger filing an FOIA to find out if the Obama administration communicated with the media to smear Fox News.

Just a Girl from Homer continues to advance her media career by "cross linking" anti-Palin views with Keith Olbermann and now by expressing her progressive views on a new talk show she has on Alaskan television. No one begrudges Ms. Moore her opinions or career aspirations and we wish her well with her endeavors. However, her unhealthy obsession with Sarah Palin has gone from being rooted in a catty local's unhappiness born from her perception of an incompetent governor who speaks in word salads to actual panic over the fact that Palin is now a national threat. Give Ms. Moore points for finally admitting that Palin is not a joke, but a real threat. The question becomes: is Ms. Moore using her hatred of Sarah Palin to advance her career or is the deeply rooted demon of hatred simply clouding her judgment regarding her professional ambitions and diminishing the more positive characteristics she will need to display in order to be successful as a TV host?

Gryphen is the psychiatric expert's dream subject in all of this. He is now espousing that Sarah Palin is trying to evangelize the country and form a third party which is part political, part religious. The laughter you hear from behind this writer's keyboard is generated as I read the Immoral Minority blog where it talks about the Religious Right being involved somehow with the whole Palin movement in a veiled conspiracy to turn America into a theocracy. It's ironic that the person who believes that morality doesn't come from a church but one's individual character finds that a personal devotion to Lord is a problem with Palin's individual character.

AKMuckracker is currently busy scrutinizing every single nuance of Sarah Palin's book and speaking tour. This blogger is surprised she's not agonizing over every letter in Palin's book looking for type-o's, poor sentence structure, smudges and maybe even the hint that a semi colon might have been improperly used. She's amused that Sarah Palin would be speaking at Bowl Expo 2010. The last time I checked, the Bowling Proprietors Association of America was a business group that contributes to our economy and creates jobs in America. She also is upset at the press for crashing Palin's College of the Ozarks speech. This is ironic since it comes from the woman who "crashed" Palin's Michael Reagan speech by using the same sneaky tactic of purchasing a ticket, attending and reporting on it.

The fact of the matter is, if these people have not taken Sarah Palin down by now, they never will. If Sarah Palin had left her car at the airport while fooling around in Argentina, played footsie with another woman in a bathroom stall, gave birth to a child from someone other than her husband or there was a voicemail on another guy's phone warning him that her husband might be calling, in the tight knitted community that Wasilla is and with all the microscopic vetting that has been done of Palin by now, this would have already come out. There is no golf club damage to her car and there is no wedding ring at the bottom of a river.

The reason why Palin supporters saw the Alaska bloggers as dangerous and took it as serious business to debunk them is that the mainstream media was actually running with stories based on the stuff they were writing. A woman who thinks she's a lawyer, a woman whose media career depends on Sarah bashing, a guy obsessed with pornography and religious guilt complexes and a political activist with an obsession for shoes, mini skirts and toenail polish were never really a threat to Sarah Palin's political career. The real threat was from the uninformed viewer or reader who could have accidentally believed the crap they were spewing or from biased agenda ridden members of the mainstream media who may have bought into this stuff. Now that polls say most readers and viewers don't believe this stuff, many may be looking at the Alaska bloggers in a different way, more like harmless partisans than a potential monkey wrench in a political game of telephone.

Two of the bloggers originally posted factually incorrect blog posts where they accused Sarah Palin of demanding that no foreign press be allowed at her book signing in the Mall of America in Minnesota and that she is demanding that workers call her governor. They have probably corrected them after this blogger gave them the courtesy of notifying them of their mistakes.

Here's the truth: MOA apologizes to Palin.

Given what we now know about the Alaska bloggers and those who tried to destroy her by filing frivolous ethics complaints, it's safe to say, Palin neutralized them with her resignation, a brilliant yet gutsy political move.

Word to the Alaska bloggers: we win, you lose.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

UPDATE: An excellent statement from Thomas Van Flein, Sarah Palin's attorney: The Ethos of Ethics. 2 more ethics complaints against Governor Palin dismissed. We win, you lose!

UPDATE 2: The Alaska bloggers continue to act like children. Since they have been reduced in stature by the overwhelming response to Sarah Palin's book tour, they are left with nothing in their arsenal except for petty childish jokes. Read about it at Conservatives4Palin.com: Alaska Bloggers Reach New Heights of Immaturity

Roadkill! Warrior Palin lays out CBS and MSM!

Sleeeeee-ice! Sarah Palin has reacted to this story from CBS. More particularly, it was this link that most likely precipitated the response.

Before anyone goes off half cocked and starts saying that Palin is whining about the media coverage, consider this: there is almost always a connection to lies about her children behind her motivation. When CBS links to a low life website like palingates.com, it's not surprising that anyone with a journalism degree would be outraged by that. Can you imagine if Fox News linked to mofopolitics.com, a birther site which is quite rough on Obama's family?

Palin is being hammered on Huffington Post, the Daily Kos, the Daily Beast and ABC to name a few others that she graciously left direct mention out of her Facebook posting.

But let's face facts. Sarah Palin is totally right about what she is saying. With all of the issues facing our nation right now, how she chooses to travel and what clothes she wears on her book tour are trivial - and again not related to anything that the liberal media can touch her on in the arena of political ideas.

And, fact checking the timeline of her pregnancy? Come on!

Where are the liberals when Palin talks about profiling? Where are the liberals when she talks about strong national defense? Where are the liberals when she talks about tax policy? They're out to lunch.

I say good job, Sarah Palin, on beating this blog site to the punch.

'I Need $500K to Stop Them!'

Here are the dangerous people. Here is their leader. Here's what they're going to do about them. President Obama's political arm "Organizing for America" is holding out the tin cup and asking for donations to hit a goal of "$500,000 in the next week to help push back against Sarah Palin and her allies." That's right, a petite woman in running shorts is a bigger threat to America than al Quaida. The most powerful man in the world needs to beg for cash to stop her.

Less than a year ago, Sarah Palin was dead, supposedly. She was written off by the DNC and thrown in the trash basket right next to Geraldine Ferraro and Hillary Clinton. Ah, but things must have changed.

I can see the liberals ripping the "she's irrelevant" chapter out of the playbook right about now. Emergency meeting guys: she's dangerous.

Oh, to be able to mock again and use their Alinsky tactics to do it to boot. I'm beside myself with hysterical laughter that in "my America," senior citizens, average working stiffs and the downtrodden are viewed as dangerous "teabaggers."

I'd unsheathe my sword, but I'm laughing too hard. Besides, this is funny as hell. You call this a battle? When I get the tears out of my eyes and all of us conservatives stop laughing, maybe we can call on the guys from Monty Python to handle this one for us.

In the meantime, I'm going to see if I can get my right wing ass up to Fairfax, VA in a couple of weeks and join with the rag tag army of Joe Sixpacks and Wendy Retirees and meet our leader so we can plot taking over the woooorlllld!!!! Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha.

Manifesting Hate: The Monster Within

The left wing in America are soiling themselves, running for the hills, wetting themselves (wee wee'd up that is) and crying out in fear and trembling. Yup, a petite lady in running shorts is a bigger threat to liberals than al Quaida if you judged by their reactions. We've been searching deep and wide for that dark hole in the soul of liberalism, you know, where the intellectually and morally bankrupt stuff is hidden. Upon seeing Sarah Palin, the left basically handed us a treasure map to where it is.

They spew vile vitriol and write articles about how evil she is. They manifest their own deep dark souls in their descriptions of her. They project their vapidity, their inability to reconcile the truth, their inability to accept the deep cutting shortcomings of their lives and their lack of a moral compass onto the person of Sarah Palin. The unhealthy obsession, known as Palin Derangement Syndrome, is the left's way of expressinig their fear about the one woman who can cast them from power for decades.

While smashing my Martha Stewart dishes this morning, this blogger couldn't help but to make another connection between deep seded psychological gone wrongs and why people viciously attack Sarah Palin.

Martha Stewart has been to jail for insider trading. Other people who trash Palin come from families with drug problems, have been divorced or in less than functional relationships, have led unsuccessful political campaigns, have had his self centered political ambitions destroyed or dealt with the personal demons of alcoholism and prostitution.

Human beings are not perfect. This column is not to put people down for these afflictions. I recognize, understand and empathize with the pain they must feel. This is not a moral judgment about what they have to deal with in their own personal lives. This is an intellectual judgment on how those things may be just the symptoms of a deep seded moral vacuum, not inside them personally, but within our body politic.

There are two types of people: one who uses their past failings as a motivation toward self improvement or the other who uses their past failings as a motivation to tear down those around them so as to better validate their own shortcomings. Those people are negative, vindictive people who live with vitriol and hate. Run away from these people as quickly as you can.

Palin detractors do everything they can to try to destroy her. With tabloid-like attacks on her and her family or a lambasting of what they perceive as her ambition and lies, they write columns and give interviews. Google those who are trying to destroy Palin. There are probably thousands of hate filled columns written vilifying Sarah Palin. How many of them actually debate her policy positions?

There are very few. She cannot be defeated in the arena of ideas. Engaging her there would reveal Palin as being intelligent, informed and on the right side of the issues. That would simply blow a hole in the left's intellectually dishonest position that she's dumb and a lightweight.

On Guard, Mr. President

It looks like the Obots need a little more force after Norah O'Donnell was skewered by a 17 year old girl named Jackie and had her rhetorical body trampled over by the right wing media.

As the Palinistas Hannibalize the political landscape, the Obots are reloading after being overrun in the opening waves of Operation Going Rogue. Apparently, Operation Smear Campaign requires about $500,000 to push back the Palinista attack on health care reform according to Barack Obama's website.

I guess they've given up on the "she's irrelevant" angle. They are afraid of her.

"With the media spotlight squarely on Sarah Palin and her "Going Rogue" book tour across the nation, Democrats are gearing up for a battle -- and trying to cash in," according to Fox News.

This shows that they are still stinging from the "death panel" cruise missile fired from Alaska that set the health care initiative back, weakening it to the point where it could only muster a ragged and stumbling victory in the House by 5 votes (one of which, possibly 2 are already expressing remorse). But the battle is still too close to call right now as the Senate tries to advance the initiative tomorrow. If only Michele Bachmann was a Senator.

Sarah Palin again has once again gone to Facebook in advance of the Senate vote: "The current health care debate elicits great concern because of its introduction of socialized medicine in America and the inevitable rationed care."

Tomorrow, a major battle will be fought on the Senate floor. President Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid are bribing fence sitting Senators with pork, trying to win them to his side.

RINOs and Blue Dogs need to look up and see that the grassroots are holding the sword to their throats. If they don't listen, off with their heads in 2010. They can make a life and death decision tomorrow and vote against cloture. You can rest assured that Sarah Palin herself will give the order in 2010, and even assist the candidates who run against them.

The president may be holding out the carrot, but the people hold the big stick. These are the kind of carrots that may cause indigestion at the ballot box. If the dogs and RINOs are smart, they would forego instant gratification for long term job security.

The battle rages on. There is much more territory to take and many more rhetorical fatalities to be suffered on both sides. But this is all out political war and the conservatives are fired up.

Becaue of our Founders' wisdom, we stand proud that we live in a land that's still free. Let the Obots exercise their rights of free speech as we conservatives exercise ours. May the best person win.

On guard, Mr. President. Riders up.

Usheathed: 17 Year Old Palin Warrior Slays Norah O'Donnell

As the Palinista army began assembling at positions throughout the country, rhetorical swords in sheathes, the opposition also took up positions preparing for Smear Campaign 2.0 in the hopes of undermining Operation Going Rogue. But one such soldier of the Obama army stepped out in the open and whammo!

A 17 year old girl named Jackie unsheathed her sword and provided the "slice a liberal" swing. The slice was followed by direct hits from arrows fired off by Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh. Norah O'Donnell, reporter for MSNBC, decided to demonstrate her elitist intelligence by taking on a 17 year old girl. O'Donnell now lays in a pool of her own rhetorical blood. It was a well executed response to a liberal media ambush.

The clip was shown on the O'Reilly factor last night and discussed on both Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh's radio show.

Ordinary Barbarian? Palinista Warrior? Proud American Patriot? You betcha.

Jackie took on the lamestream media, met Sarah Palin and ended up on the O'Reilly Factor, Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck. Nice!

Read her blog about it here.

"We're Going to Get Clobbered Tomorrow. The Liberal's Heads Are Going to Be Spinning"

In a teaser for Sean Hannity's interview with Sarah Palin tonight on Fox News Channel, Fox played a clip this morning of Sarah Palin saying "we're going to get clobbered tomorrow. The liberal's heads are going to be spinning."

The Palinista forces have begun their advancement. I can almost hear the voice break in on the radio: "Operation Going Rogue has begun."

I'm going to keep this as kind of a running blog post which will be updated throughout the day as great Sarah-isms and great quotes about Sarah Palin pop up across the media.

-Last night, Monica Crowley said on the O'Reilly factor that "Sarah Palin represents an existential threat to liberalism." She went on to say the left fears Sarah Palin because she is someone who could"put a stake through the heart of liberalism."

I think everyone in my neighborhood heard me last night when I watched this segment on The Factor. It probably sounded like I was having a romantic encounter because I kept yelling out "Monica, that's so good Monica!"

Like Shannyn Moore would say, it's like porn for conservatives.

-A fantastic quote from a blogger named putzy who commented on this article on Freep.com: "Sarah is carpet bombing the libs and they are running around squealing like greased pigs this fine day."

-From Mark Whitaker of NBC of all places: "If she decides to run, that’s a judgment for voters to make, not us in the media."

Bloggers Note: It has always been my primary argument that convincing people that Sarah Palin is it is not about selling them on Sarah Palin, but rather selling them on the fact that the media lies. The winning discussion on this issue is between Sean Hannity and Sarah Palin.

-Sean Hannity asked Sarah Palin what it would take to overcome the caricature that people have of her because of the press and Tina Fey. Sarah Palin's answer "read my book and don't listen to the lamestream media."

Newsweek Rears It's Ugly Head

It's just Newsweek. You know, that magazine on the rack next to the bowl. When the toilet paper runs out, well you got backup.

Sexist isn't it?

"The choice of photo for the cover of this week's Newsweek is unfortunate." -Sarah Palin

Warrior Wields Her Sword

Warrior Palin Unsheathes Her Sword

Blasts AP: Really? Still Making Things Up? Blasts Obama: Obama Administration's Atrocious Decision

There's rhetorical blood everywhere. There are AP people and Obama administration people laid out. The AP spent more time investigating Sarah Palin's book than they did the Kalid Sheik Muhammed issue, which is her other issue as well. How ridiculous does the AP look now. And what message does this send to the president?

Even Geraldo Rivera called the AP's fact checking mission silly and insignificant.

Sarah Palin leads her minions into battle and they heed her call.

Going Rogue: The Scum Rises To the Top

Death defying, mutilated armies scatter the earth. Crawling out of dirty holes, their morals, their morals disappear. - Yours is No Disgrace by Yes

In advance of the release of Going Rogue, the mainstream media has fired up the ole smear machine again. Somewhat dormant since Sarah Palin's resignation, her resurgence again calls them to scramble for their swords.

The mainstream media sees the William Wallace of American politics amassing her forces in preparation of the book tour; so it's now or never. Politico, Associated Press, Newsweek and MSNBC are engaging in a pre-emptive strike in advance of the Palin blitzkreig (click on each link to see what these slime bags are saying). While under orders to "keep your powder dry," the Palinista forces prepare for a long hard fought battle in the blogosphere against sinister forces driven to panic over the return of their biggest threat, Sarah the Great.

Expect the Palinistas to overrun them this time.

As the guns explode from atop the hills, Palinistas are already radioing in positions. It's beginning to become clear who the enemy is. As the days and weeks of the book tour continue, those who come out in the open are sure to eventually be seen and then rhetorically slain.

I once again ask Charles Krauthammer to leave the room. I don't want to see him get hurt in this mess. He's got too much conservative credibility to toss it all away over a hidden pro-Romney agenda and his lack of belief in God.

Keep Your Powder Dry

Never one to miss an opportunity to get into a good rhetorical sword fight, this blogger heard the sound of metal against metal and quickly ran to Conservatives4Palin to find that John Ziegler, barbarian maximus, was quickly going for the pierce over the AP's hit piece on Sarah Palin's book, Going Rogue. As Ace of Spades says on their website "Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit upon his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats." Palinistas across the land began to rumble; and as has always been the case when their leader was attacked, the army assembled with hands at sheathe.

But Sarah Palin said, hold up! In advance of "operation Going Rogue," she gave her first order.

As you probably have heard, the AP snagged a copy of my memoir, Going Rogue, before its Tuesday release. And as is expected, the AP and a number of subsequent media outlets are erroneously reporting the contents of the book. Keep your powder dry, read the book, and enjoy it! Lots of great stories about my family, Alaska, and the incredible honor it was to run alongside Senator John McCain.

- Sarah Palin
The army's leader is now a strong and powerful woman, even stronger than when she was chosen by the one she honors, John McCain, to lead Palinistas in battle against Barack Obama. She has taken not only liberty's lamp to guide them now after a bitter defeat, but she has also taken the helm of the her growing army, ready to lead them back into battle again.

The battle looms, yet the army is told to hold fire. She knows she wields the ultimate weapon, a book that is sure to slay many in the media and those in the McCain campaign who restrained her at a time when the battle needed its warrior to be unbridled.

The Phrase Finder explains her message: "Be prepared and save your resources until they are needed."

Until they are needed...

Donna R. Patrick wrote:

As military soldiers go into battle, they have to know with a certainty that their weapons are in good condition. The anticipation of utilizing those weapons is ever present, so not only do they have to be maintained, the user has to know how and when to use them. They usually have a clear target, have studied the enemy to gain as good an understanding as possible of how the enemy operates, and from there have mapped out a clear strategy for overtaking the enemy.
Those who have been part of the Palinista army battled fiercely in their losing effort against the forces of liberalism and its leader, Barack Obama. When the warrior leader went home after the loss, her enemies continued an unprecented effort to finish her off and completely destroy her.

They couldn't.

Her army stood tall, defending its leader as the victors demanded their spoils. Ordinary barbarians took up defensive positions and thwarted attack after attack from the mainstream media, bloggers and even Barack Obama himself.

Yet even as she was being hit with arrow after arrow, she stood up and told everyone that she would not shut up. "If I die, I die," she said. "I’ll know that I have spoken up and I will speak up to...encourage you too...to do the same, and don’t just hang in there and go along to get along but stand up and speak up, and be bold and demand that Washington be prudent...and prioritize for America’s security..."

Sarah Palin, bloodied and weakened, then resigned her governship, went into seclusion, recovered and emerged stronger than ever before. Ironically, now Obama is weaker than when they battled the first time. The Palinistas sense this and thirst for liberal blood.

The clouds prepare for battle
In the dark and brooding silence
Bruised and sullen storm clouds
Have the light of day obscured
Looming low andominous
In twilight premature
Thunder heads are rumbling
In a distant overture...[1]
The glimmering light of a shining city is the prize they are willing to politically die for.

UPDATE 1

Despite a call to keep the powder dry, Conservatives4Palin is slicing and dicing over the AP article: We Won't Just Keep Our Powder Dry - We'll Fight!

It may have just been made harder for Palinistas to keep their swords in sheathe or their powder dry after reading this: Great Moments In Journalism: Sarah Palin Marginalization Starts Early At MSNBC

Is the army ready to go rogue in defense of it's leader?

On guard, MSNBC

UPDATE 2

I see C4P was already slicing and dicing MSNBC. They did that BEFORE they posted the story about the AP. Man, talk about ordinary barbarians! They are like the Vikings, only they're not pillaging and plundering, but rather slaughtering in defense of Palin!

Sarah the Slayer Makes Liberals Get Serious

The stakes are getting higher for radical big-government Democrats who sense that a movement that wants to wrestle the government their control is growing rapidly. There are also similar rumblings going on in the more elite insider rooms over at Republican headquarters as well. As they adjust to the rising threat to their power, we are beginning to see the end of one kind of a smear campaign and the beginning of another. The lampooning and the notion that one should never let a great set of facts get in the way of an an anti-Sarah Palin argument is now giving way to a much different approach: take her seriously, very very seriously.

We've watched senators pen Op-Ed pieces in rebuttal to Sarah Palin on cap and trade. We've seen Moveon.org spend millions of dollars to run ad campaigns against her. We've seen the Vice President of the United States show up in what was once a little unknown district in upstate New York to counter the Palin effect. These are the acts of liberals coming out of denial.

Those who have called Sarah Palin a moron or an idiot and those who have called her Caribou Barbie and politically irrelevant have been doing so at their own peril since the presidential campaign ended a year ago. If you check with those who have actually lost to Palin politically throughout her career, they're not talking of her in those terms. They always describe her as a force to be reckoned with, even if they are giving quotes for hit stories.

It looks like the kool aid drinkers have decided to wake up and smell the coffee.

ABC News’ Rick Klein reports: "Just when you thought you wouldn't have to spell 'Dede Scozzafava' anymore, the Republican nominee in that upstate New York special election is back -- lashing out at Sarah Palin and others who worked against her bid."

Scozzafava may have a time of it trying to convince her small wing of liberals who try to pass themselves off as moderates in the RINO movement to start a civil war withing the GOP, but she sure as heck is going to try.

Klein writes:

And Scozzafava has this message for the Club for Growth and other
Republicans who are vowing to bring down moderates.

"There is a lot of us who consider ourselves Republicans, of the Party of Lincoln," she said. "If they don't want us with them, we're going to work against them."
In other words, Dede Scozzafava wants to work against Republicans who oppose Barack Obama because Sarah Palin exposed a problem in the GOP's candidate selection process. In a representative republic, the last time I checked, the representatives are supposed to be chosen by the members of the republic, not a backroom committee. Apparently, Dede has a more politburo-like vision of what a representative republic should be.

Those in the Republican party who intentionally moderate because of a false notion that the electorate is liberal or hide a liberal ideology behind the R next to their name unwittingly aid and abet at best, and as in Scazzafava's case join liberals who heed the president's call to "fundamentally transform the nation" when they complain that the TEA Party and Palin wing is trying to purge the Republican party of them. The last time I checked, the GOP was opposed to Obama.

The baseless childish pettiness and vindictiveness of the Alaska bloggers that was once at the heart of the Palin smear campaign may also be on its way out as the real grown ups start taking Palin more seriously. There is at least one Alaska blogger who might just finally be willing to accept this.

Shannyn Moore has cast aside the silly lines about word salads and Sarah Palin's wardrobe to take a more serious approach toward the growing monster that Palin is becoming for the left. You can almost visualize Moore standing over the political body of Dede Scozzafava as she traces the "slaying" all the way back to Palin's first intra-party goring of John Klein for Mayor of Wasilla.

Moore writes on the Huffington Post:

Many people regard Sarah Palin as a punch line. That's too easy. In fact, she's more of a threat.
King Kong, once taunted as a dumb ape and turned into a circus freak show is breaking free from the reigns and headed straight for the Empire State Building. Those who once thought laughing at the monster and taunting it would make it go away are finding that they have actually manifested their worst fear. Those people are now climbing into airplanes and soon will be taking real shots at the monster as it climbs to the top of the tallest political building in the country, the U.S. presidency.

As for complaining about the path of political bodies that Sarah Palin has left behind her, just remember it's going to be a typical meme for the left and for RINOs who are slain by the greatest female political warrior to ever unsheathe her sword. It goes like this. Out of touch politician who still smells of smoke from the backroom filled with corrupt party insiders gets taken out by reformer and corruption fighter Sarah Palin. "Victim" joins the anti-Palin movement.

The cat is out of the bag and the genie is out of the bottle. The swords will be drawn on both sides, not just in defense of or in attack on the person of Sarah Palin, but for the very heart and soul of America and what it stands for. Strict constructionist/small government conservatism is about to do real battle with statism and its radical followers who apologize for America and want to remake it in some twisted image of a bunch of failed Utopian thinkers.

Liberals and RINOs have owned the board for years. It's always been their rules and their game. Yet, at the right time, the silent majority is silent no more. It's a real fight now. Don't hate our players. Hate your game.

There will come a time when those who stand for integrity, principle and good governance will all be in one party and all those who don't will be in the other party. You will be able to tell "the bad guys" by the "I hate Palin" buttons they'll be wearing.

-----

UPDATE and writer's note: Watch the mainstream media coverage of Palin's book tour as well. They are going to be taking a hit from the chapter in her book about the media and at the same time they are going to have to admit that Palin is huge. Norah McDonnell on MSNBC this morning even admitted this tour was going to be big for Palin. She also said in a conciliatory way that she doesn't expect to get a call from Sarah real soon.

Will the media try to lampoon her again? Or will they grow up and start reporting the facts (the 5 W's as Sarah always asks them to do). I expect a more grown up approach to the tour, but don't expect the media to stop trying to find a real legitimate "gotcha" moment that will have legs instead of ginning up stuff. They already got slammed for ginning up the "coin issue." The pit bull has already bitten quickly when journalists get out of line, so expect the MSM to realize they have not beaten this poor dog into a corner. On the contrary, they've made her a more dangerous animal.

Rob Harrison wrote an excellent piece on Conservatives4Palin that explains what we should look for from the media: Look for the Smoke Machine. I think there are going to be too many people looking more skeptically at the smoke. This should keep the media on guard about getting too crazy.

Halloween Horror

Yes, it's Halloween again. From the bowels of the earth come the tortured souls who come to claim the world as theirs for one night before returning to the pungent holes of their inner hells.
That's kind of what it was like on Countdown the other night.

In his interview with CBS, Levi Johnston said he knew things that could get Palin in trouble and that she "routinely referred to her baby, Trig, who suffers from Down syndrome, as 'retarded.'" The Sarah Palin Blog pointed out "The remarks have been condemned by every credible news source - and then there is MSNBC - who took the opportunity to inflict more pain on the Palin family by bringing in Palin critic and proven liar Shannyn Moore."

Moore, who once complained in her blog for The Huffington Post that Sarah Palin does nothing to denounce the idiocy of extremists in a blog about Dr. Tiller's murder didn't let any of the facts get in the way that day when she quoted every single thing that Palin wrote on her Facebook page except this:
"I feel sorrow for the Tiller family. I respect the sanctity of life and the tragedy that took place today in Kansas clearly violates respect for life. This murder also damages the positive message of life, for the unborn, and for those living. Ask yourself, 'What will those who have not yet decided personally where they stand on this issue take away from today's event in Kansas?'

Regardless of my strong objection to Dr. Tiller's abortion practices, violence is never an answer in advancing the pro-life message."
Moore, who says she can't say if Levi is lying or not, deflects to the "we all know Sarah Palin has a lying problem" so that she can segue into her usual pitiful, vindictive shpeel about Sarah Palin. Who cares if Moore thinks Levi is a liar or not? "Using Shannyn Moore as an expert on the truth is like using Reverend Jeremiah Wright as an expert on race relations," says The Sarah Palin Blog.

The depths of her hatred for Sarah Palin reveals a deep dark black hole in Shannyn Moore's soul. Like a woman tortured by the contrast between Palin's accomplishments and her own, Moore chooses to advance her media career specializing in hatred, rather than advancing herself as a positive progressive.

Moore tries to explain away her own vapidness by complaining that the reason Sarah Palin seems so popular is that she is selling her book at a discount. It's understanding to see why Moore would be so catty given the small following she has on her radio show and Twitter page.

So as the goblins and ghouls make their Halloween appearances, we see the horrors of the images of a media created zombie who doesn't care for his own child, or his own dignity for that matter, meeting with the vacant cries of a black cat that will never recover from the emotional cancer that spreads throughout her tortured mind.

Those who think they can take down Sarah Palin continue to bark at the moon on this All Hallows Eve.

Palin Smear Campaign: I Was Getting Worried There For a Second

Sarah Palin just got a bump in the latest CNN poll for 2012 President: 32% Huckabee, 25% Palin, 21% Romney, 5% Pawlenty. The previous poll had it 29% Huckabee, 24% Romney and 18% Palin. She is putting out a book that shot to the top of the best sellers list before its release. She just changed the dynamics of the race in New York's 23rd Congressional district with a Facebook page note. She's scheduled to be on Oprah in November. I was beginning to think she was losing her star power until I saw that Levi Johnston was on CBS trashing her and now the DNC just put out a hit ad.

Whew, for a second there, I thought she wasn't relevant. Thank God CBS put Levi Johnston on and thank God the DNC put out this hit ad. There was just too much not paying attention to her for my liking.

Sarah Palin will not be the success that she is supposed to be unless they trash her through her second term as president. As soon as they stop smearing her, I am going to have to look for another candidate.

If we can't get a good old fashioned dirt bag kid out there to threaten to use his "wad" of credibility to feebly attempt to take down Sarah Palin, I'm out of here. If we don't see the DNC using Obama's voice and Palin's voice together in an ad smearing her, I'm going to have to start looking for anti-Romney ads or anti-Huckabee ads to reassure me that there is a candidate worth voting for. Quite frankly, I don't know who I'd consider a legitimate conservative anymore if Sarah Palin isn't Bedtimed for Bonzo all the way through the democratization of Iran.

Walls don't fall unless a hapless American leader is lampooned while Mikhail Gorbachev single handedly gives the okay. Unless Bruce Springsteen criticizes her during his concerts, Don Henley writes a lyric calling her a tired old lady we elected queen or Genesis puts out a video showing Sarah Palin as a cartoon caricature during her term as president, I'm just done.

Tonight, my hope in Sarah Palin has been renewed. It's great to see the left the smearing and trembling again.

Update: This may be one of the reason's why the left is so scared of her: The Other McCain.

Texas For Sarah Palin Slice and Dice!

Instead of writing a blog pointing out more of the anti-Palin loonies for a rhetorical sword slicing, I will simply defer to the excellent work of Texas For Sarah Palin. Anything that I would have said has already been said here:

Now the moonbats have gone after Lynn Vincent

Now that is an unsheathing of the rhetorical sword and a liberal slicing that makes us proud!

Bill Maher: Poster Child For Left Wing Hostile Rhetoric

Bill Maher and Jay Leno - September 28
Bill Maher made his first appearance on The Jay Leno Show. Click on the link above and see sidebar on right for all the inflammatory rhetoric spewed by those on the left.

JAY LENO: Well, you know, it's like I keep hearing this talk about death panels. People use the word "death panel." But, you know, we've had death panels...

BILL MAHER: That's Sarah Palin. Wait a second...

LENO: Yes. True.

MAHER: Sarah Palin is the one who brought up death panel... And you know what, Sarah Palin? I got news for you, honey. If we were gonna get rid of useless people, you would be the first to know.
When we hear Bill Clinton talking about a vast right wing conspiracy and the president telling people that go to town hall meetings that they're rude, it makes us realize that speaking out and exercising our right of free speech is under attack.

However, when a right winger puts out a facebook post that asks "should Obama be killed," we on the right condemn that. It's wrong. You don't say stupid stuff like Michelle Bachmann should slit her wrists or ask whether you think the president of the United States should be killed.

There is a line that should be drawn when it comes to political discourse. You don't ever advocate, imply or infer that people you disagree with should be killed, whether it be by a death panel or a crazy loon.

As far as the right being able to say whatever inflammatory stuff they want to say, game on. The liberals own the board and we have to play their game. We can marginalize, we can fight with the most brutal of rhetoric if necessary. But you draw the line at what Maher said tonight.

I realize two wrongs don't make a right, and I don't advocate that anyone do anything to physically harm even the lowest of life forms on the planet, such as Bill Maher. But when you go on national television and tell somoeone that if there were death panels "you should be the first to go," don't expect it to be an easy ride after that.

Millions of American soldiers have died for our right to free speech. I hope what Bill Maher said tonight doesn't deter them from continuing to do that.

Bill Maher must hate women. In addition to sending Sarah Palin to the head of the line at the death panel, he also wants to choke Tila Tequila.

Keith Olbermann Unhinged

Unless you want to read me spewing the worst curse words man has ever come up with, I really have nothing to add to this story: Tasteless: Olbermann Guest Invokes 'Special-Needs' Children to Bash Palin

I refer you back to Watching Porn on MSNBC for the truth about Olbermann as explained by Lou Dobbs.

Keith Olbermann is the lowest form of scum in the journalism industry. His hate mongering and pandering to a brainless base is far beyond anything that anyone could have ever imagined.

Should Obamacare ever get passed, it will be consolation knowing that some day, Keith Olbermann's end of life care will be rationed by a bureaucrat.

9/11 blog: Who's Dangerous?

How is it possible that those who believe in freedom and limited government are enemies of the state? How is it possible that those who stand for the big regulatory government that create the flaws in our financial and health care systems want to be the ones to fix them? Are those who protest a lie more dangerous than the intellecttually dishonest and morally bankrupt people in power who enforce that lie?

The president calls citizens and prominent politicians liars. He accuses conservatives of being the cause of the health care "mess" and asks them to be quiet while he and his radical associates try to fix it by using the mess as an excuse to justify radical government takeover of things that were caused by government in the first place. Liberals consider their opponents "terrorists" or "an angry mob." They call ordinary Americans fringe extremists and accuse them of racism or religious hysteria when all other arguments against them fail. They think conservatives are responsible every time some whack job in America does something violent.

If one honestly observes the conservative movement in America, you will find doctors, lawyers, business owners, professionals, teachers and writers as well as hard working blue collar workers, struggling entrepreneurs and those down on their financial luck who are the overwhelming majority of the movement.

Yet, these people are portrayed as dangerous or a threat because they attend TEA Parties and exercise their constitutional right of free speech to speak out against a government that continues to encroach on the very values upon which this republic was formed. A lot of them even support, dare I say it, Sarah Palin.

So how does one "marginalize" Sarah Palin or anyone like her. Take a look at a new tactic being used by the left. Forget rumor and innuendo. Just outright lie. The left wing blogosphere isn't interested in the truth. They are interested in keeping their "messiah" in power.

Shannyn Moore writes in The Huffington Post:

The radical right, which celebrates the assassination of Dr. Tiller and protests their children hearing the encouraging words of a black president, love Palin. She does nothing to denounce their idiocy; she revels in it. I write about her now because of who she represents -- very dangerous people.
Ms. Moore! Was I in danger when I went to a Sarah Palin rally during the campaign? I knew I should have kept a closer eye on that senior citizen next to me with her grand children. Do I need to worry about some right wing extremist beating me up for having a "Don't Tread on Me" flag or biting my finger off because they disagree with my position on health care reform when I go to Washington tomorrow?

Whose dangerous, Shannyn? Trig Truthers or Birthers? Which is it? When Palin speaks, the reason why it looks like a word salad to you is because liberalism is a thought salad. Those kind of statements are understandable coming from people who don't understand the language of liberty.

Some guy killed a pro-life protester today, Ms. Moore. How many on the left are going to celebrate it?

There isn't any difference in the proportion of those who celebrated Dr. Tiller's death to that of those who want to go to Glenn Becks House and assault him. I saw crazed comments from both sides on Twitter yesterday. Does Barack Obama represent dangerous people? Two words, Ms. Moore: Van Jones. Why is he not denouncing the left for the crazed comments of its loons?

Why is your best buddy telling his viewers to dig up dirt on Glenn Beck? You don't think someone might get hurt there, yet you think people are going to get hurt because Sarah Palin doesn't believe in your ideology? Come on.

Oh and by the way, Ms. Moore, you're a liar.

Read it and weep:

"I feel sorrow for the Tiller family. I respect the sanctity of life and the tragedy that took place today in Kansas clearly violates respect for life. This murder also damages the positive message of life, for the unborn, and for those living. Ask yourself, 'What will those who have not yet decided personally where they stand on this issue take away from today's event in Kansas?'

Regardless of my strong objection to Dr. Tiller's abortion practices, violence is never an answer in advancing the pro-life message."

Governor Sarah Palin (from facebook)
Shannyn Moore needs to print a retraction of her statement that Sarah Palin represents dangerous people. Ms. Moore, your hatred and negativity got the best of you today. It clouded your professional judgment and it adversely affected your writing. Do the right thing in your next blog.

Now back to our regularly scheduled discussion about liberalism.

When liberals openly booed George W. Bush or dissented on issues they disagreed with, decorum was never an issue. Decorum only becomes an issue when Joe Wilson yells "you lie" to their president. It used to be okay to interrupt the president when it was George W. Bush delivering the speech.

The problem with liberalism is that if you're a leftist protesting a just war it's free speech, but if you're a conservative protesting out of control spending it's called "teabagging." I got it now. When you do it, it's okay. When we do it, it's not.
George H.W. Bush gave a speech to school children in 1991 and was accused by liberals of using school children for political gain. But Obama gives a speech to school children and we're a loons for keeping our kids out of school.

In the ultimate hypocrisy, Arianna Huffington, who's legion of bloggers have unleashed an all out smear campaign against Sarah Palin, has the set to write an article whining about how unfairly Van Jones was treated and that he is a victim of a smear campaign!

This is hypocrisy. This is why liberalism is intellectually bankrupt. It's also morally and culturally bankrupt.
Hillary Clinton may resign as Secretary of State to run for governor of New York according to rumors. That would make her a quitter and unsuitable for public office if you go by the liberal mantra. Oh wait, there is no real liberal mantra. They make the rules up as they go along and change them as the argument requires. The backflips and the contortions don't happen on the front end of liberal arguments, they happen on the back end. They argue from whatever side fits the outcome of their argument, unless of course they're losing and they just personally attack you to get out of it. Morally bankrupt? You betcha.

Culturally bankrupt? Charlie Sheen is a 9/11 truther. That's okay, though because he's not a birther. Janeane Garafolo accuses TEA party protesters of being white redneck racists. Tell that to the black guys I saw on Fox News' coverage of the TEA Party Express. Sarah Palin's a racist. Tell that to the black guy I met with the Sarah Palin for President sign at the 4/15 TEA Party in Richmond.

No good liberal argument goes without a selective picking of the facts that suit the moment. It's relativism vs. absolutism. Conservatives will tell you the sky is blue. As such, it is up to the liberals to twist enough facts to get enough suckers to believe its green.

Today conservative bloggers and tweeters are going after the terrorists who destroyed our buildings on 9/11/01. Liberal bloggers are going after the TEA partiers instead.

I wonder how much better a country we'd be if liberals spent as much time trying to defeat Sarah Palin as they should be in defeating al Queda. If only Shannyn Moore hated Osama bin Laden as much.

Palin's Relevancy: White House Takes Her On

UPDATE: Our leader and great American Heroine has unsheathed her sword: Sarah Palin: Response to the White House
END UPDATE

Since penning an op-ed piece for the Wall Street journal, Sarah Palin has once again become the target of the liberals. But add one prominent group of liberals to the list: the Obama Administration. Ben Smith of Politico reports:

...the White House has... chosen specifically to focus on former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, and evidently to make her the face of the opposition, or to respond to her ability to project herself into the debate. She is the only Republican named in the talking points.
While some liberals are in convulsions and others reacting like Linda Blair in "The Exorcist" after having holy water thrown on her, many in the mainstream are watching the sparring match with questions about the left's depiction of Sarah Palin.

Having failed miserably at smearing her, portraying her as a lightweight and rebutting her political arguments, liberals and the Administration are making the grave mistake of elevating her to the level of their biggest threat. Not only is the left making the biggest mistake of this election cycle, they may end up helping Palin get to the White House in 2012 should the public perceive her as the opposition leader.

Liberals make themselves look simply childish and silly when, rather than writing intellectually honest and well though out rebuttals to Palin's papers on Obamacare, they are responding with sophomoric intellectual elitism, claiming that Palin is not writing her own work and that her ideas and statements are coming from ghost writers rather than herself.

It's normal, since Palin is writing a book, that she gets writing and literary advice in the process. This is common in the world of letters and not to be seen as something that diminishes the writer. Writers have editors whether they are authors or columnists. Many who write for a living or use their writing to bolster their resumes often have their work reviewed and grammar or structuring corrected. Would the liberals consider Palin unworthy because she uses "spell check" as a crutch?

The fact of the matter is Palin's positions are hers. Liberals tread into deadly waters when they underestimate her or personally attack her. Poli Gazette says "Progressives/liberals must be asking: What good are the malicious, dishonest smear campaigns if the target keeps coming back even stronger than before?"

Even in the legitimate political arena of ideas, liberals risk elevating Palin to a more relevant position than they would like to by mistaking how high up the food chain they should go in debating her. By not leaving the debate with columnists and bloggers and instead releasing a White House talking point making her the face of the argument merely crowns her as a queen. Those in public relations know that bad press is better than no press. The fact that now that the the pundits will be mentioning her name frequently tonight is more important than the content of their analyses.

UPDATE: Sarah Palin addresses this point on her Facebook Page:

One last thing: after President Obama's speech tonight, listen for which pundits use the words "false", "scary", and "risky" in describing the proposals I put forward. That's how you'll be able to tell who the White House counted as "allies" worthy of receiving its talking points.
END UPDATE

Media lies began last night on Keith Olbermann's Countdown when Shannyn Moore stated that Republicans were running from Sarah Palin as fast as they can. This comment was made shortly before Jim Demint went on Greta Van Susteren and vigorously defended Sarah Palin's position, hardly the run or the distancing that Ms. Moore claimed on the frequently factless Olbermann show.

The President and his supporters are going to have to swallow their own medicine as they watch their "messiah" and his "press secretaries" and "ghost writers" over at MSNBC, NBC, CBS, ABC, Washington Post, The New York Times and Newsweek get drown out by the voices of average ordinary Americans in the blogosphere, on talk radio and on Fox News. Fox viewership continues to increase proportionally to the way President Obama's approval ratings are falling leading many to think that those losing confidence in the president are now moving to Fox for their news.

If the Administration was smart, they would ignore Palin and try to soft sell a series of smaller bills that first address concerns with the insurance industry and then move through the other issues individually. The public does not want big government. No matter what Obama tries to sell tonight, if it is government run, it will not get support. This is not only Palin's position, but the public's position as demonstrated in the poll numbers on health care reform.

Arianna Huffington Should Recognize a Good Smear Campaign When She Sees One

Arianna Huffington thinks Van Jones was forced to resign because of a smear campaign. It's unfortunate that Ms. Huffington missed this one. She's an intelligent woman who has run for president and is also a successful and capable businesswoman. But, repeating Van Jones' own words for all the world to hear is different than repeating others' negative words and rumors about someone. That's the difference between reporting the truth and engaging in a smear campaign.

A smear campaign, Ms. Huffington, is when you employ bloggers to distort the words and record of someone. Let's see if any famous smear campaigns come to mind. To quote my high school math teacher, "let's pick someone at random," Palin.

Here's how a smear campaign works:

Let's just say for argument sake that the Huffington Post had been front and center of a smear campaign that resulted in getting a governor of a large state to resign. A blogger, let's call her Shannyn Moore, relentlessly writes hit pieces on the Governor and draws attention to a small gaggle of fellow bloggers who drum up unsubstantiated stories about divorces, federal indictments and the maternity of a child. The bigger the lies, the better.

For it to be a smear campaign in the purest sense, you have to create a caricature of the subject and twist words and deeds to fit the caricature. If you have to play video clips of the subject's own words and reprint direct quotes from the subject which incriminate them to the charges you are making, that's not a smear campaign, unless of course you take them out of context.

Next, you have to remove the arena of ideas from a smear campaign and make it personal. Attack the shoes, the hair, the speaking style and maybe poke some fun at the kids, too. If you file a bunch of frivolous ethics complaints (which will all later be dismissed) to create a moment that makes it appear the subject is under attack for being unethical, you got a real winner.

Filing charges against Van Jones for being a communist would work in a good smear campaign. Playing a tape of him admitting he's a communist, well that's just truth. It doesn't qualify as "smear."

Lies are the most important ingredient to a smear campaign. Anyone can get the folks to believe the truth. But if you can get the folks to believe the lies, now you're talking talent here.

While I completely disagree with Huffington's politics, I just can't help being envious of her wordcraft. How I wish I could have written this about Sarah Palin:

Isn't it time we acknowledge that no human being with any passion and deeply held beliefs ever emerged flawless into the world? And that if every mistake, misstep, boneheaded decision, or error in judgment becomes an automatic disqualifier for public service, then we're going to be left with a political landscape filled with nothing but wrinkle-free, foible-free, passionless automatons who have never made a mistake because they never took the risk of having an original thought.
Yes, it is a very well written paragraph. I'm still trying to figure out why this sentiment isn't applied equally and fairly to those the Huffington Post has smeared.

"Contrary to the media caricature, the real Van Jones is a thoughtful leader who knows how to use words to move people to action. To stick him behind a desk, working out the details of tax credits for green jobs -- incredibly important though the job is -- was never the best use of his unique and abundant skills."

Hmmm, contrary to the media caricature... The more I replace Van Jones' references in Huffington's piece with Sarah Palin references in my mind as I read, the more I like the way the piece is written. But I can't help but wonder how Arianna Huffington could question media caricatures and disqualifying people for boneheaded moves when she allowed her blog site to be used in such a similar way in the relentless in the smearing of Sarah Palin. Isn't that intellectually inconsistent?

Shouldn't she be impressed with how Glenn Beck took down Van Jones instead of being outraged? Or maybe she's just a little green with envy that the Van Jones "smear campaign" was much more effective and took less time to complete than the one against Governor Palin.

If anyone should be impressed, it should be us with Huffington. Anyone can take down a government official by posting truthful videos and quotes where they damn themselves with their own words. It takes someone with a lot more savvy to do it with lies and innuendo, though.

Getting Van Jones' resignation was like shooting fish in a barrel. Getting Palin's resignation required a lot more creativity and distortion of the facts.

I still just don't understand how Huffington can be upset with Glenn Beck. Huffington stood by and watched her bloggers and readers fire point blank at Mrs. Palin. All Beck did was stand by and encourage his viewers to watch Mr. Jones fire point blank at himself. Was Beck's takeout of Van Jones too clean?

And I've never failed to be impressed by Van. He is a remarkable man. One of the things I've always found so impressive about him -- and something completely lost in the partisan mudslinging -- is his ability to build coalitions and create unlikely alliances. In pursuit of a clean energy future for America, Van has successfully brought together urban youth with clean-tech entrepreneurs, labor leaders with business leaders, civil rights activists with environmentalists. His skill in this area is exceptional, and much needed in America today.
Couldn't the sentiment expressed here be applied to Sarah Palin?

Replace some names and Ms. Huffington has a Pullitzer prize winning analysis of Sarah Palin:

Now, thanks to Glenn Beck [Shannyn Moore], we've got that voice back. No longer tied to his [her] desk with a sock in his [her] mouth, Van [Sarah] is now freed to do what he [she] does best: inspire and energize groups around the country.

If Glenn Beck [Shannyn Moore] had any sense at all, he [she] would have done everything in his [her] power to keep Van Jones [Sarah Palin] right where he [she] was.

But he [she] didn't. And for this we should all be grateful.
Here's the test Ms. Huffington should have applied when determining whether Van Jones was forced to resign because of the facts or whether he was forced to resign because of a smear campaign: replace the names with the circumstances.

If Sarah Palin was Van Jones, how would this have played out?

Consider what would have happened had Sarah Palin called Democrats "assholes," signed a petition stating 9/11 was an inside job perpetrated by the Bush Administration, blamed black people for poisoning white people, admitted she was a separatist or a Nazi and told an audience that she wanted to do away with our republican system of government.

Would Ms. Huffington have defended Sarah Palin as vigorously as she has Van Jones if this was the case?

This is exactly why liberalism is an intellectually bankrupt ideology.
